U.S. LABORATORY TESTING COORDINATION

Autism Navigator Laboratory Coordination is a service designed to help families simplify the process of laboratory testing related to autism spectrum disorder and associated biologic conditions. Our system helps coordinate laboratory evaluations involving: inflammation; immune dysfunction; persistent infections; microbiome imbalance; metabolic stress; nutritional deficiencies; hormones; mitochondrial function; and other biologic contributors relevant to autism. Autism Navigator works with partner laboratory providers and Quest Diagnostics collection centers throughout the United States.

Dr. Ken recommends laboratory tests. The patient submits a laboratory request form. Our laboratory coordination team reviews the request. A customized laboratory order is prepared. A nearby Quest Diagnostics location is selected. The patient receives: requisition PDF; appointment scheduling links; preparation instructions; QR/check-in information. The patient visits Quest Diagnostics for specimen collection. Results are reviewed during follow-up consultation.

In all states except NY, NJ, and RI. Regulations in these 3 states don't allow customers order lab tests online. For ordering lab tests online you need to use a local address in the state where the testing is allowed.

Testing may be coordinated for both adults and children. Laboratory requests for children must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian.

No. Neither Autism Navigator nor Jason Health accepts medical insurance.

Depending on the selected tests, pricing generally includes: physician laboratory requisition; laboratory processing fees; specimen collection fees; online laboratory results. Additional testing fees are usually not required after checkout.

No. Laboratory orders are coordinated through licensed physicians associated with our laboratory partners.

Generally, laboratory testing coordinated through Autism Navigator uses requisitions generated through our partner laboratory workflow.

Yes. After laboratory coordination is completed, patients receive: requisition PDF; laboratory instructions; Quest Diagnostics information; appointment scheduling information. The requisition may be printed or shown from a smartphone during the laboratory visit.

Yes. Most laboratory requisitions remain valid for up to 12 months, depending on laboratory policy. Expiration dates are listed on the requisition document.

Usually no. Most laboratory fees are included in the original order.

Specimen collection is typically performed at Quest Diagnostics locations throughout the United States.

Appointments are usually optional. Patients may: walk into Quest Diagnostics; or schedule an appointment online. Appointment scheduling links are provided after laboratory coordination is completed.

Some tests require fasting. Preparation instructions will be included with your laboratory requisition package.

In many cases, yes. Patients may often use another Quest Diagnostics location with the same requisition.
