Cancer Care and Immune-Based Treatment
As an oncologist, Dr. Alibek developed supportive and adjuvant treatment approaches for different types of cancer.
This experience later became highly relevant to his work with children affected by chronic inflammation and immune dysregulation.
In 2007, after his own daughter was diagnosed with autism, Dr. Alibek began studying the biological root causes of autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders.
Why Dr. Alibek Began Studying Autism ?
By 2009, he started applying his medical and infectious disease background to develop early treatment approaches, focusing on:
Chronic and latent infections
Immune system imbalance
Inflammation affecting the brain and body
Gut and microbiome disturbances
His goal was not to “label” symptoms, but to understand why a child’s brain is under stress and whether that stress can be reduced.
By the beginning of 2026, Dr. Alibek had completed:
Clinical Consulting Work with Families Worldwide
Over 1,400 teleconsultations for children with autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions
Overall, more than 15,000 medical consultations, including autism, NDDs, oncology, and other complex chronic illnesses
He assists families from 30 different countries, especially when children experience regression, severe symptoms, limited progress despite typical treatments, or complex laboratory results.
A Different Medical Approach
Dr. Alibek is an award-winning physician, educator, and scientist known for developing innovative medical approaches rather than relying on one-size-fits-all solutions.
His work integrates:
Infectious disease medicine
Immunology
Inflammation biology
Clinical reasoning based on lab data and symptoms
This work led to the development of a personalized medical approach designed to reduce biological stress on the brain and body.
Research and Public Health Experience
Dr. Alibek is also a well-known infectious disease expert who has advised governments and health organizations. In January of 2020, he publicly warned about the risks of COVID-19 and the consequences of a delayed response.
He has authored and co-authored 6 books and more than 80 peer-reviewed scientific papers, including 7 articles on autism, and continues to contribute to medical education and research.
He holds doctoral degrees in medicine, medical microbiology and immunology, and medical biotechnology.
