Terbinaforce® contains terbinafine hydrochloride, a broad-spectrum antifungal medication that effectively treats infections caused by dermatophytes, yeasts, and certain molds. It works by inhibiting squalene epoxidase, an enzyme essential for fungal cell membrane synthesis, leading to the death of fungal cells.

It is commonly prescribed for onychomycosis (fungal nail infections), ringworm (tinea corporis), athlete's foot (tinea pedis), jock itch (tinea cruris), and other superficial fungal infections. In selected cases, it may also be used as part of treatment protocols targeting suspected systemic fungal overgrowth under medical supervision.

Terbinaforce® is generally well tolerated and is typically taken once daily for a treatment period determined by the type and severity of the infection. Full resolution, particularly of nail infections, may take several months as healthy tissue gradually replaces the infected area.
