Nemocid® 250 contains pyrantel pamoate, an anthelmintic agent that acts primarily within the gastrointestinal tract. Pyrantel causes neuromuscular paralysis of susceptible intestinal worms, allowing them to be expelled from the digestive tract.

Pyrantel is commonly used against several intestinal nematodes (roundworms), particularly pinworm (Enterobius vermicularis), roundworm (Ascaris lumbricoides), and certain hookworm infections.

The appropriate dose of pyrantel is often weight-based and depends on the parasite being treated. Treatment and repeat dosing, when required, should be determined by a qualified healthcare professional.
