Ivermectol® 12 contains ivermectin, an antiparasitic agent that works by binding to specific chloride channels in parasites, leading to paralysis and death of susceptible organisms while having minimal effects on human cells at recommended therapeutic doses.

The medication is widely used for the treatment of intestinal strongyloidiasis, onchocerciasis (river blindness), scabies, and other parasitic infections caused by susceptible organisms. In selected clinical situations, ivermectin may also be prescribed for additional parasitic diseases according to established medical guidelines and physician judgment.
